Hi, i am about to customize R60. in LENOVO site, for CPU, I can choose T2300e or T2400, first 1.66, second 1.83 with fingerprint reader, and costs 65$ more. I just wanna know if I order the first, does it mean that the fingerprint reader port would still be on palm rest but not working, or probably there would be no sign of it? In the latter case, they should have 2 different types of palm rest to be used. what is your idea?

I've got an x60s without the fingerprint reader and there's no sign of it. Except for the software controlling it. But thats nothing I run anyway ;)

There are two different palm rests. There will be no sign of a fingerprint reader if you choose not to get it. It will just be flat like the rest of the palm rest.
