So my t61 has been overheating lately, and i plan on sending it in to lenovo since i have a month left on the warranty, and i just want to make sure everything's working fine. When i bought the laptop, i added 2 gigs of ram to it. Should i remove the extra ram before i send it in for repairs?

Either remove it or tell them you added it and to make a note of it on your case number/file.

If you have stability issues or think the overheating started after the ram upgrade (not likely but possible) then its best to leave it inside and have them stress test it with the ram inside.

Do not remove the memory. The extra memory in no way effects your warranty. You may wish to pull the hard drive before sending it it unless you don't mind getting yours wiped clean.
