I can't get the link to come up, but if it is the deal I looked at from the Sunday paper, I checked into it and it doesn't come with an ExpressCard slot, which bothered me. It had a PC card slot, and media card slot. I'd rather have an ExpressCard slot and PC card slot, and resort to an external memory card reader connected to a USB port. But again, this might not be the same deal.

Heh, I'm looking to get the same laptop. Went to Circuit City over the holiday, and it's definately a nice system. The R61 in store has 2GB or RAM, not 1GB. Just clearing that up. I don't know if I should buy it, or order one from Lenovo. I'm waying the pros and cons at the moment. If I get it from the store, then it will be in my hands and I won't have to wait. However, if I order it, then I can increase the processor speed, and get a decent graphics chip to boot. Decisions, decisions...

it cheaper to get one from lenovo i believe, and no MIR to deal with. good laptop though. you can get a t61 with better specs for around that price if you wait for a deal

CC will not likely drop the price more, just get it now if you want it.

I just got mine from CC last Saturday and I'm pretty happy with it, all things considered. Have to say though, I might have considered buying a better-featured one from Lenovo if I'd known how or where, but I was stuck on the big box store mentality at the time. Still, it's my first Thinkpad and it's all the machine I could expect, for the money I paid ($850 + tax).
