    anybody know if you can scroll up and down on the r61 trackpad? reading about dim screens...are most people happy with their screens? debating to buy the r61 now or to go with another computer because of the screen. thanks !

    I am not sure about the trackpad(its at home) but screen is significantly brighter than my 14" SXGA+ on my dell 600m. I played raiders of the last ark yesterday and it was awesome.So I am thrilled with R61 WXGA+ screen.

    If the trackpad is similar to the T61's then yes, there are designated areas for scrolling. You can even increase of decrease that scrolling area as well as other options via UltraNav options.
