So, I've had my T43 for a little over a year and I've mostly loved it. But a few months ago it started crashing randomly, the wireless would go nuts after waking up from hibernation, it became slow. If you watch the CPU usage, it will randomly spike even when I'm not doing anything (I spend lots of time reading a book in front of my computer with Word open, to jot down notes or thoughts once in awhile). I called IBM and did a clean reinstall a month ago, plus updated every single driver and program I could think of, and it was better for about a week. But then the crashes came back, as did the random CPU spikes. There's no pattern to the crashes. I've run diagnostics numerous times -- they repeatedly come back saying that my HD, my memory, and my motherboard are fine, as is everything else. Any ideas for what could be wrong, before I send it to IBmto have a look at it?

No, highly unlikely. I'm behind two spyware programs and Semantec; I run sweeps 3 times a week.

If you have done a clean install, sending it to Lenovo is probably the best course of action.

They have already wiped the hard drive and done a clean install.
