    Dear Community,

Hello. My question concerns installing the Roxio CD/DVD burning application that came with my Lenovo T61 onto another non-Lenovo computer.

Unfortunately my T61 died roughly a month ago (inverter and graphics card failed). Fortunately my hard drive is still working, so I have put it into an external case. My files are all there and I am now using my old HP Compaq laptop.

I can access all the files in the SWTOOLS folder in my T61 harddrive via USB on my HP Compaq. In the MMCfto folder, clicking the Multimedia Center For Think Offerings installer yields the message of "The InstallScript engine is missing from this machines. If available, please run ISScript.msi, or contact your..."

There is a IS 1050 installer that is essentially the ISScript installer located in this same folder.

Do I just run this installer and then run the Multimedia Center installer to install this software on my HP Compaq?

I understand that there are working alternatives that are FREE on the internet that do CD/DVD burning well. But I am just curious and would like to learn and see it if is possible.

Thank you very much for your help.

    Sincerely,
    Joe

I would guess due to the EULA of the software it's legally bound to your Thinkpad, though it may work.
