    hey,
I just picked up a T43 thinkpad from my college...I had a dell before and I'm used to having a windows key. Small thing, but I like it. Does anyone know how I can re-assign one of the Alt keys maybe? Is there any program that could change one of those keys into a windows key without too many consequences?...

Yes, in fact IBM has a Keyboard Customizer Utility found under Access IBM on the Start menu. I personally prefer the right ALT key since I don't use that key a lot.
