My t61 has Thinkpad a/b/g/n, my new x200s has Intel 5300 a/g/n. When looking for available networks, the former found only 8 (none open), while the latter found 19 (two open). What gives?

The Intel 5300 has more antennas than the thinkpad wifi card, therefore it was able to pick up more wireless networks.

I thought with the N the thinkpad (atheros) has 3 antennas. Do you mean it has only two?
