Couldn't believe that my T61 arrived today!!! That's something good...indeed...I thought I would have to wait at least a month....

But...there is no power cable or adapter in the box....I checked everywhere....no luck....

Can someone tell me if the power adapter should be ordered seperately or it should be included with my order???
    :( :( :(

    You CANNOT be serious.

I have only one package in tracking. They ship separately? You have another tracking number?

    ===================

    UPDATE:

Just called Service Rep...it was their mistake not including the A/C adapter in the box...will send to me ASAP.

Sigh...have to wait another day or two....

There's a smaller box in the box. The box with the documents and battery. The power adaptor should be on the side of that small box. There are two small areas on each side.

Was your box tampered with? It should have the original Lenovo security tape over the packaging box.

I called customer service right after placing the order, asking them why the estimated ship date is in August...and was told, the est ship date is not accurate on the site, and it should take about 2 weeks to ship...

When tracking my shipment, i noticed my T61 came all the way from HongKong and Korea.

    Anyways....good luck to you~

    wow that sucks.

Was it from Lenovo or a retailer?

I'm afraid they wont believe you, they will think you're trying to scam a spare AC adapter. Especially because they're in short supply, in fact they were removed from the website awhile back.

You should have everything in one box. Additionally orderd accessories can come in a seperate box.

It was from Lenovo. I called 40 minutes ago and asked if the A/C adapter should be included...if it was not part of the order, I had no problem, just transfer me to the sales dept and i will order it. But if it was part of my order, send me one please. The service representive was very nice...he apologized and said someone will take care of this and will send me an email shortly confirming they will send me the adapter...

I have not received the email though....

You definitely should have had the adapter in the box. Here's a photo of what all came with mine...it was shipped from Shenzen, but I doubt that should affect the containment. The bottom two cables are the AC adapter assembly.

Damn, that's pretty ****. While I was reading this topic I was thinking that only the powercable was missing, but the whole Adapter; what a shame.

Offtopic: Strange poweroutlets do you Americans have. Two flat, weak pins :s.

I immediately trashed that cord and bought myself an Euro-Cord (haha, I AM in Europe so I had to).

I have over a dozen of the 72-watt adapters, but those dont work on any of the 60-series. Those were in short supply a year ago when 60-series were fairly new still. But i wonder why a year later they're *still* in short supply.

Mine is shipped from HK. It was very well packed with the white foam plastic.... Besides the adapter, Win XP pro disc is also missing. (is it because i ordered xp pro, not vista?) No phone cord either... :( that's ok, i'll never use it...

by the way, i ordered from ibm employee link...
