Corded mouse, not a hot topic I know  I don't like the fact that wireless mice need batteries, so I'll keep using old fashioned corded mouse. I looked at Amazon.com site and some issues mentioned in the reviews are my concern (such as mid button/wheel hard to click, left/right button too sensitive, etc.). I appreciate any recommendation of good mouse or sharing experience of bad ones. :)

One mouse I can safely say STAY-THE-HELL-AWAY from is the Creative HD7600L, most times when I boot up (XP, XP MCE, VISTA HOME P. 32,VISTA ULTIMATE 32, VISTA ULTIMATE 64) I usually have to unplug an plug in the mouse in the usb ports for about 2-3 minutes until it works

It is not the mobo, had the same problem on 3 other PC's, and 2 notebooks

What kind are you looking for(office/mobile/gaming)? What's your price range?

I'm a fan of logitech mouses because they are ergonomic, and durable. I own the MX518, but it's more of a gaming mouse.

The Logitech LX3 or V220 would be a good one to check out if you want to keep it simple.

The VX NANO would be a good wireless investment because apparently:
"Longer battery life: Get up to 6 months of use (or longer with the convenient on/off switch).** " - I'm not sure if you have to charge it every 6 months... or what! but you can look into that ;)

just curious, but why don't you like wireless mice just because they run on batteries? I also use a Logitech v270 bluetooth, and it only needs replacement every 2 months under heavy use; 7+ hours a day.

I have Logitech v450, and I have changed batteries only after ~11 months of usage. In description was written that batteries last 1 year and they are right.

You will appreciate cordless mouse when you will go somewhere :)

Just for usual office use, no gaming/mobile. Is it possible to get a really good one for $20-30?

I don't often carry the laptop out, so the wire is not a problem for me. I hate to have to buy and change new battery every few months. With a corded one, you can use it indefinitely (theoretically!).

Besides, without the wire, that's a mouse without the tail, doesn't look like a mouse ;)

yea! get the new MS with the blue laser. It'll cost you ~$100 but will track better than any other out there, according to reviews
