    recommends for a 4G or 8G SSD for T500 ?

    4g or 8G is enough for me (in java programming).

    I hope you're not talking about 8gb ram.

    EDITED : I think you're talking about HDD size. Programming can quickly take lots of space becuase of the sheer volume of small files it creates. I would go with 8gb SSD but since its SSD it all comes down to the money.

    But then again, for java programming why SSD ?

    Transcend makes one that is supposedly SLC, in 8g and 16g capacities.

    SSD is reliable , stable for its not-moving , fast. i only keep os,libs on it and others on a usual HDD
