    I remember I used this program on my old laptop called notebookcooler or something that could toggle the cpu frequency or something and my fan noise reduced significantly.

    Anyone remember what this program is called, or know of any good alternatives to reducing fan noise, or to even silence it if the CPU isn't running a lot of power?

    I'm using the T400
