hey does anybody know why there's such a difference in price on the base models on the Canadian lenovo site vs. the US site?
The cheapest base model on the American site is $599 i think where it's priced at $849 or so on the Canadian site
Taking the exchange rate into consideration shouldn't the base Canadian model come to just under $700 or am i just crazy?

It isn't just the Lenovo 3000s, the thinkpads prices are very different between the countries too. Why could this be? I think it has to do with higher corporate taxes, higher duties (since they are being shipped from China), and labour costs. Just my 2 cents.

I know with camera equipment it is often more expensive in Canada than in the US, to the point that some people deal with the hassle of buying from the US and still come out ahead.
