hey ppl, i am a newbie so i'm not sure what i should do...and was wondering if someone can help me out...

    Problem:
i have a ibm x60s, and recently all these pop up ads and weird stuff comes up, so i really wanna re-install win xp and get rid of everything...another reason why i wanna re-install is b/c i got my laptop in chinese and now i wanna switch to english....
i have a xp cd, i tried to run it when i was logged on, but it says that the one installed in laptop is newer than the cd, so it won't let me install...Then i tried to boot from the cd first and it just says that it can't detect my hd, so i did a bit of research and it turns out that i am suppose to copy my hd driver onto a floppy and then press F6 when installing...but I DON'T HAVE A FLOPPY DRIVE...and i tried to copy the hd driver onto a usb flash disk but comp didn't read it...
so i wanna reinstall xp again....any solutions?

    any help is appreciated..thx alot!
