    What do you think about remanufactured Thinkpads on sale on eBay?

    I've seen T43s going for 1000, with a 3rd party 3 year warranty

    I think it depends on the reseller and the reputation of the warranty provider. Honestly, I wouldn't do it, but that's a nice way to save a lot of cash if all parties are reputable.
