I had to send my T61p to the depot for a MB replacement. When I got it back I noticed that the plastic in the upper right corner (by the PgUp/PgDn keys) was not seated properly. Now whenever sounds play, that area vibrates and causes an annoying sound. I can get the palm rest off and the keyboard, but can't figure out how to get the rest of the plastic (the border piece around the keyboard) to come off. Any help would be much appreciated.
It's a 15.4" T61p and the area that needs reseating is the curvy part under the LCD, near the right-side hinge.

Hope that helps -
You, sir, are my new hero! That's exactly what I needed! Thank you so much. Now back to the surgery...

Glad to be of help! I suppose I might refer to those manuals later on to clean my laptop of dust :O

Thanks again, surfer. It was a 10 minute repair and now there is no more vibration and even the palm rest sits more solid. I'll be holding on to that manual for a long time - it's gold. +1 for you.

Also check this out it has video of how to do just about everything you could ever want.

Nice, thanks. The tech I spoke with on the phone would only direct me to the 'hardware removal and installation' web page on the Lenovo site:

Useful, but it's only the user-replaceable stuff. -
