How practical / difficult would it be to replace the y410p's display with something else? For example, I really like just about everything about the y410p, except I REALLY HATE its glossy / reflective screen. I am skeptical of add-on anti-reflective products, and I would prefer to have something a little sharper and higher-resolution than the y410's HD+ screen, regardless. I am intrigued by the matte IPS full high def display of the Lenovo t440s, but am underwhelmed by its capabilities (e.g., dual-core only).

Are the screen sizes / connectors pretty standardized where I could buy a replacement t440s screen (or something comparable) and use it in a y410p, or is that not possible or otherwise a bad idea?

Might wanna take a look at this video. The guy shows how to remove the screen at the end. Otherwise, i am not experienced with replacing screens, so do this at your own risk.

The chance of working is pretty low, the panel should be the same as the alienware 14, so you can go from there.

Did you mean the chance of it working is low if I used the t440s panel, or even if I were to try using the Alienware 14's AUO113D panel? I've heard the latter is also pretty good. What do you foresee as potential gotchas?
