    Does lenovo make any model with a 14" tft NON wide screen anymore? Can't find one

    No, but there are plenty of refurb/used 14" XGA laptops on the IBM outlet or ebay.

    the last machine to have these screen were the T61. If you want to keep them, then don't get the nvidia gpu versions, just get the intel x3100 gpu one.
