I have a brand-new s10 (about 2 weeks old) that won't power on correctly (screen just stays blank). I had downloaded a bios update from Lenovo's support site and was attempting to update the bios. The computer rebooted as expected but something must have gone wrong since the screen will not come back on. I tried one-key recovery and the same thing happens and I can't seem to boot into safe mode (I hit F8 while powering up). Is there anything else I can do to bring this thing back to life or do I need to have them just ship me out a new computer?

I did that already. They talked me through a couple of basic troubleshooting tips and that was it. I haven't been impressed with their tech support thus far so I figured someone on here might know of something else that I can try. It's probably going to take 3 weeks to get a new computer to me so I'd really like to exhaust all possibilities to try to get this one working again.

Take out the battery and put it back in.

But if you screwed up the BIOs you might be able to reset it back to factory by removing the bios battery and putting it back in. But that would void your warranty most likely. Why did you update bios in the first place? Was something not working well? And I assume you don't have onsite tech support.

I updated the bios because I read that it might fix a problem I was having with the laptop's fan. Anyway, I ended up sending it in for repair. They should have it back to me within 7 business days and that's much better than waiting 3 weeks for them to send me a new one.
