    Hi all,

I'm wondering what other Ultrabay device owners are doing to keep their Ultrabay items safe. My laptop bag doesn't have a perfect-sized pocket for it - just a big one where it'd knock around with other items.

The cardboard shipping box is working for now, but it's way bulky. Perhaps a tin pencil box might work (which of course I don't have handy ;-)). Any other suggestions?

    Gracias!

I don't have a Thinkpad or an ultra-anything, but, depending on the size/shape of the pocket you're talking about, you could pad/partition it w/foam. If nothing else, you can get one of those cheap sleeping bag pads that sell for $4-$10 and cut a pad to fit. I made a custom sleeve for my old (actually using it to type this) Toshiba laptop that slid inside my bookbag this way (foam and the wonders of duct tape).

Unfortunately, the bag has a padded area for the laptop and the rest of it is one big area for stuff. I like the duct tape idea tho - way to keep things as lowtech as possible!
