my new t60 sporatically flickers when on battery, sort of in the same fashion like when you change screen settings, the screen flashes. Is this normal?

edit: by the way, i am using power manager, and the "power source optimized" setting. Perhaps the computer is trying to changing the screen setting?

Might be trying to switch from 60 to 50hz to save power.

Have you checked for updated drivers (two ways to do this, using the blue thinkvantage button and selecting update my computer - which updates to the latest drivers that will make a difference, or go to thinkpad.com support and downloads and then follow the self explanatory links which gives you the latest drivers period - for instance there has been a new release of drivers that do nothing more than add compatability for the X60 tablet, these won't come up via the thinkvantage button but they do via the website).
