all you need is a #1 JIS phillips screwdriver.   any profile other than JIS (japanese industrial standard) is likely to strip.

So that 1 single JIS Philips can take care of all the screws on the TP? Not all the screws seem the same to me.

the smaller size on some internal parts is a #0 JIS.   those are the only two sizes used.

The Victorinox Cybertool 29 works pretty well for me.

I've always used cheapie precision screwdriver sets from the dollar store. Always make sure you use the right size, insert the tip into the screw fully and firmly, and toss out the screwdrivers if the tips get chewed up.

The handles on the Rosewill set look good. My current cheapie set has handles similar to the Moody set in the post above, these work pretty well too. Avoid the skinny metal handled screwdrivers, they're too hard to work with.

A few years ago, I bought this inexpensive set from Amazon. I used it to take my old Sony laptop completely apart, replace the hard drive in a TiVo, disassemble a 3.5" external hard drive case, etc. This is now the most useful tool in my house. I think this worked out better for me than just buying a set of 3-4 screwdrivers targeted at one task (like disassembling a ThinkPad).

So Thinkpad uses the JIS screws like this? Having trouble finding any JIS screwdrivers in the UK - only expensive import options (they're expensive anyway)

if you can find precision screwdrivers (Wiha, Wera, etc.) then you should be fine.

JIS-S is slimmer than normal and might not work as well.   i updated my recommendation accordingly.
