Right now I have a X60s - L2400/2GB/120GB + 4cell + 8cell and two booq sleeves, warranty till Jan 2010.
I love the machine, it's very light and very comfortable to type on. Also, it's powerful enough for my application. And I am not bothered by the lackness of an optical drive.
But there are two things that I don't really like. One, the build quality isn't top notch. I am not confident enough to throw it around my apartment. Two, the XGA resolution seems to be annoying something, when i have to scroll a lot.
Right now, Lenovo has the promotion and I can get a T61 with 3 year warranty for less than 1000$. But they don't offer SXGA+ any more.
Is the T61 much sturdier than the X60s? Is SXGA a lot more than XGA? I know T61 is 5 pounds, but do the actual users of 14" find it's heavy to carry with you everyday? I take my laptop everywhere with me. Thanks.
