    I've got a sl500 it has a core 2 duo T5670 @ 1.80GHz which is a socket p (478)

Could i upgrade to a higher Core 2 Duo? like 2.40GHz?

as long as FSB is the same which is 800MHz and its a 478 there shouldnt be any issues?
