I was looking around Lenovo's website, then I noticed a bunch of models have x hours of battery with slice battery.
    -Is this a typo
    -An Apr Fools joke
    -Something to be excited about

I wouldn't be surprise if it were a typo. There is no way that it is an April Fool joke (eight day after April 1st and Lenovo corporate culture doesn't seem to like these kind of joke on their main website) .

It would be great if Lenovo does offer that option.

No Lenovo does not joke about battery life. And Lenovo's slice is way better than any other manufacturers' slice.

I dont understand what the original poster is asking. Does he not know what the battery slice is? or does he not believe the battery life lenovo claims when using the batter slice?

A 9 cell plus 9 cell slice will get 23 hours approximately on certain models like the t420 and x220. Again this is based on usage and what twaeks you have to the power manager.

models that did not have slice batteries to my knowledge (ex: X120e) had their battery life listed with slice batteries.

I am pretty sure that it is a mistake. For the x120e, there are no docking hole to attached an slice battery.
