Ordered December 20th 2007 .....Still waiting. They screwed up my first order with a credit card mix-up adding extra numbers to the order??I only found out after calling a week later to check order status.Apparently it was corrected then.

Then they told me it wasn't that...the machine I ordered was not being made anymore? Maybe an email or call would have been cool eh??

Now I have some "case number" and an upgraded machine of 50 bucks more (Woo-hoo) that BTW I am stillwaitng for now into Feb. 2008 no less.

I have been VERY patient up until now but sheesh.....seems to be getting a bit old.If I had known this I would have just ordered off a website like Tiger Direct or some other site that carries thinkpads.

If their machines are anything like the customer service I am really afraid :D

BTW, I was told a similar thing. The rep suggested me cancel my order and reorder it using the new (crappy) system. He said that from now on, only CTO models will be available. I really didn't like what he's telling me. What about the pre-config systems that were ordered before the new buggy system was introduced?

I somehow have a feeling that they (all the reps) have know ideas what they're talking about. One said my laptop is already in Canada. One said is in transit from China to Canada. Another said it's still being built in China. Another said...

No, I didn't receive the notebook yet. I'm deciding whether I should just cancel the order. Lenovo Canada waiting times, both for the laptop and to speak to their CSR, are just plain horrible. With Penryn laptops being released, I'll just wait for a few more weeks. Once I can get a Penryn laptop in my local store, I'll definitely cancel the order.
