    my t60p has arrived!!!!

and. it. is. amazing. i may do a review, but for now here are my thoughts after a few hrs of fiddling around.

i had hesitations when i saw a thinkpad at office depot. it was made of plastic and ddnt seem as solid as others. i was definitely wrond. this is the most solid notebook iv ever felt. you could smash the keyboard with a ammer at it wouldnt flex. toshibas, hps, and gateways feel like waterbeds compared to the t60p. typing on it right now.

best screen even. i can look at it straight down standing over it at a 1 degree angle and can still read the text. flexview is definitely worth the larger size, go for it!

im not a fan of trackpoint but i can see why so many people love it. its a whole new feeling and is great when the trackpad gives me finger cramps.

this baby is faster than anything iv touched at best buy or compusa. i ran adaware, avg, ccleaner, etc etc download etc and still no lad. my desktop compaq from two years ago runs slow from just adaware

havent tried many games yet, will try oblivion and xmen apocalypse soon. darwinia ran heavnly smooth but its not that graphically intense.

for any perspective buyers, any questions?

again. the screen is perfect, no dead anything, perfect light balance. this screen leaks less than an air tight quarantine door.

congrats! I'm definitely jealous too. The trackpoint takes a little bit of getting used to, but I bet you'll grow to like it. If not, hey, that's why they put both. It's really nice because it allows you to type and move the mouse around without having to take your hands off the keyboard. Enjoy your new toy.

i got it through my college for big discounts but now that lenovos running that back to school sale, u can get a loaded t60p for the same price

    lenovo t60p
    t2600
    2gb ram
    fire gl v5200
    15" flexview
    100gb hd 7200

and there is no way my pics would look anywhere as nice as this guys from notebookforums
    http://www.notebookforums.com/thread158151.html

i was honestly mortified that it wud be some ugly hunk of plastic. but i think it looks ultra sleek, better than any dell and maybe asus =P
