    stuck.. what ram do i get?

    Hi!
    Im trying to get another 256mb ram for my r40 2722b6u. the manuals--all it sez is get "pc2100 ddr sdram unbuffered sodimm"

    i tried that "Automatically detect [?] this system's model number to see compatible accessories." and it returned "256MB PC2700 CL2.5 DDR SDRAM SODIMM" But the picture doesnt look like 256mb ram on the laptop and the one on the laptop sez "CL2"

    So im wondering, will that 256mb ram it returned for my laptop work?

    Oh yah, it also sez "pc2100s-2033-0-A1" on the ram on my laptop

    Hi, either one will work. I would however go over to www.crucial.com and get your memory from them as they very high quality ram and great prices as well.

    my friend told me that its not good to mix them? He said that having one that is 2700, and one that is 2100 might not work together? So will this affect it, or make no difference?
