    Hello,

I have an r61 thinkpad with a t8300 core 2 duo. Originally the processor ran fast, 2.39 ghz or so... but now, the speed dropped to 1.17 ghz because of the speedstep technology. Before, I used to get 49 second 2M super pi, but now it is around 1.30. I keep switching to maximum performance, disabling speedstep technology, still same results. Has anyone else had this and fixed this? Any solutions to fixing this?

rmclock gives you pretty decent control of the clock speeds.
