This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    switching graphics problems?

    I noticed that there were a few posts up earlier about issues with switching between graphics on the T400 and 500. Is this still an issue when using an external monitor?
    I'm thinking of getting a T500, but it this is still an issue then I may move on to a different brand without switchable graphics.

    Yes, it is still a problem. See here.

    Though, there are workarounds for time being and Lenovo has put some resources in to resolve the issues. So, I guess that we can expect a solution soon.
