Yeesh, I know every laptop I buy nowadays ultimately comes from China, we just only see the shipment from the re-seller in our tracking, but dang, when the tracking says left from SHENZHEN, CN it seems like a long way away!

Well, at least the it really didn't ship on Dec 5, as originally estimated when I ordered it.

So, for those who wonder about these things, I ordered Monday November 12, it shipped Friday November 16, and is scheduled for deliver Friday, November 23 (with Thanksgiving in there). Not too bad after a promised 3-week turnaround.

Of course, nothing fancy on this order beyond ordering the 9-cell battery, so it shouldn't have been a hard order to fulfill.

Which year in the 1990's did you order your t16? Sounds like a long time to wait for delivery.

I've had things ordered from China arrive on Wednesday after being ordered on Monday and I've had things take 3 weeks to arrive!

P.S. A P2 is a bit old isn't it? If you want to run Office 95 or experiment with some old Linux systems then fine but if you want to use it for modern stuff ???????

Well, Lenov's 2 week shipping policy has kept me from ordering a laptop. Odd situation perhaps, but I won't be here to pick it up after a week and a half.

Surprising to see China on the shipping details. I guess it depends on the destination, since I'm certain they'd have a depot in the USA.

I ordered one on the 8th and they predicted it would ship on the 25th. It shipped late on the day on the 24th and then took about 5 days to reach me from the factory even with expedited shipping. It said at two different points that it was being held by customs waiting on paperwork (during stops in Anchorage and in Louisville). I see that as of this evening they are saying four weeks and $100 if you want to upgrade to a DVD burner on T61.

I ordered my T61 that came from China, it took it a week to get here.

I ordered a DVD player from a warehouse in Virgina and its taking 3 weeks so far.

    In short: Wtf? :D
