I was wondering how to access the BIOS quickly and easily on my T400. My battery life seems to have halved :( from installing windows 7 and I guess it is due to the fact they still have not figured out the switchable graphics yet.

    Thanks!

The switchable graphics are buggy at the moment (apparently an update was released yesterday, but I haven't tried it yet). When you load from sleep or hibernate, both integrated and discrete will run.

The workaround for this is to switch to high performance, and then back to energy savings to turn off the discrete card. This should restore your battery life.

Has anyone updated the graphics drivers in their T400 yet to see if this issue has been resolved?

Cool thanks for the tip Generator! That is far better than going into the BIOS and changing it all the time. I just installed windows 7 yesterday and I have all the updates, so I would say that it is still not working. :(

Got a link to that update?

TVSU doesn't have it. I've seen an Intel graphics update on Lenovo's site, but upon downloading it, it errors out as not compatible with my system. I don't see any updated switchable graphics drivers.
