8GB of RAM, 2 x 4GB. And it sort of depends on whether you get the Samsung or LG screen (the latter is preferred), although neither screen is really stunning. Congratulations though ;)

Just got my t400 today.Turned comp on to see lenovo recovery since wondows 7 disc was needed to reinstall.I used the recovery discs which are for windows7 professional 32bit.I notice that windows says the current activation key is no longer valid.Does this mean that i will need to buy a product key?

do all t400's or t500's (2241-W8Q) come with switchable graphics? i'm looking at a few sub £200 laptops and they all state intel integrated 4500mhd.
when i search for drivers on the lenovo support website for model (2241-W8Q), the ati drivers option is there.. confused
btw i really want the ati option to do some light gaming (vamp masquerade, bully, cs:s, basically console ports)

The switchable graphics were offered as an option on the T-series (an upgrade I really should have made)...

If you are installing more than 3 gb of ram you will want 64 bit OS. FWIW, I have the switchable graphics and rarely use it. It was a waste of money for me. I should have got the bluetooth instead!

Lucky you! I was getting outbidded silly on eBay UK and I'm now using Gumtree in my search for a T61/T400.
