For me, the 6 cell in the t500 with the base screen can last about 4 hours with simple use like word or internet.

Right now, the battery meter is saying that I have a little over an hour left at 44%. This is for the six cell on the T500 with the ATI card at maximum performance.

The biggest factor in battery life is screen brightness.

    i have a T500, wsxga+ with 9 cell, 4GB RAM and 4GB SDHC readboost.

6:30 hours-7 if you activate battery stretch, turn the LCD all the way down to 10-20%, wifi off, BT off and integrated graphics. i usually browse over the ethernet, read and stuff.

in high performance with discrete graphics, max sound and gaming, it lasts upto 2:30-3 hours at max.

watching movies with decent brightness (60) on integrated graphics, it lasted max of 3 movies(approx 4:30 hours)

Where can I reorder a 9 cell? cause right now i set everything to long battery life, intergrated, and power saver mode and its telling me I have about 4 50. I thought there was a 7 hour battery life on these or is it because I have 6 cell?

6 cell is better than 9 cell in lower weight and fits perfectly. 5 hours is very good for any 15.4. the max i manged out of the 9 cell and T500 is about 6:47.

i dont like the extra weight and the battery protruding outwards.

Anyone know how long the T500 runs with a 6 cell + Ultrabay Battery II?

Actually, since the Ultrabay battery II is 3 cell, would this combination with the 6 cell be equivalent to the 9 cell battery?

Theoretically, yes, but note that the UltraBay battery is completely discharged before the 6-cell main battery is used, which is hard on the battery and can cause rapid degradation of the UltraBay battery.

Is there any option in power manager that discharge UltraBay battery to specific percentage just like the main battery?

Awhile back Mark_Lenovo @ the lenovo forums posted a poll if that would be a feature people would be interested in. Needless to say, there was hug interest. Haven't heard anything from that...been almost a year I think.

That's a shame. I don't think it would even be that difficult to implement. If only the actual coders would read the threads sometime.
