    Hi,
I have a t400 with the big 9 cell batt. I have it set to start charging when below 60% and stop at 95%. This has been working great until a couple of days ago, when I noticed that after I turned it off the comp. off, it charged all the way to 100%. It happened today overnight again, when I left it in sleep mode.

I have not changed the batt. settings, and hovering over the batt. symbol it still says it should stop at 95%, and when its on and awake it does.

I do believe that it does not start charging until it is below 60% whether it is asleep or off.

Has anyone encountered this behavior before? I'm using Vista basic... maybe there was some recent update that triggered this... dunnoo...

    Thanks.

I had this same issue. I had it set to charge when below 30% and charge to 90% in preparation for a trip (I usually have it charge to about 60 or 70%), but it charged to 100%. Sadly I don't know how to fix it, I ended up manually unplugging the power cord and letting it run down to about 90% and then plugging it back in so it would stop. It may simply be something it does when the battery gets close to 100% charge threshold it just goes the rest of the way.
