t400 battery, where to buy?

I am thinking about buying the t400, I always run on battery, and I am a frequently fly, so I would like to get both the 4 cell, and the 9 cell to try them out. I would use the 4 cell while moving around the house....

I couldn't find the batteries anywhere on lenovo's site, or even on ebay, and it will only let me configure to have one...

Second question, I know this has been asked before, but how long of a battery life do people get here? does anybody get close to the 10hours claimed in kevin's review?

 

They are there, under accessories and upgrades/batteries. I have a t61 with a 4 cell, 7 cell that I bought off ebay for about 75.00 and a 3 cell ultrabay battery. I believe the batteries are the same for the t400. I get almosy 6 hours with my 7 cell and 3 cell combined, and I think the 9 cell will go about an hour longer than my older 7 cell. Now, take away my nvida video that must be powered and use the t400 video switching, plus led screen uses less power and i think you get somewhere to 8-9 hours. maybe . 10 sounds like it could happen.

 

i dont think they are the same as t61 (At least not for the t400)

 

they just might not be listed on the website. there are no x200 batteries listed on the website, but when i called they had them. hopefully they will update their site soon. it's an ironic thing for them to suck at, eh?
