    hey guys,

I have a t400 + advanced mini dock, and it has an SPDIF coaxial output. I'm just wondering how i can set it up so that I can output my laptop audio using that (regardless of source), and send it out to my receiver, with a coaxial digital in.

I know the connection works (i tested it using the driver), but couldnt get mp3s playing through it.

you would need to activate that sound port from the sound under control panel, where there is an option for either speakers or digital output (choose the latter).
