i have xp pro installed on my t400. a few times a month when i start up my machine it forgets the display settings. i have the computer set to windows classic but when i start it up sometimes it has the windows xp blue theme.

i also have some others problems with my machine. for one diskeeper 2008 stopped working properly and i had to reinstall it.

also i have had a few freezes over the past few days when opening windows media player. i ran a scandisk and it fixed some things, is that bad?

try to reinstall the windows, it sounds like there is a lot of trouble with the softwares.

obviously the reinstall was not done properly, which is why you are having these problems.

Also, you should do a system check with Lenovo system toolbox or PC-Doctor.

You might want to run PC-Doctor or System Toolbox if you've done your updates to see if anything comes up.

idk what could have possibly been doing wrong with the install

i also ran pc-doctor and it came up with no errors
