Hi everyone,
I have a t400 with Vista x64 installed. I have been having an issue with the headphone jack on my laptop. For some reason, when I plug in my headphones, the computer doesn't automatically switch from the speakers to the headphone jack. It will continue playing from the laptop speakers. I have to actually go into the Sound menu under control panel and disable the speakers first. Then plug in my headphones and then audio will play out of the headphone jack.
If I want to go back to playing from the speakers again, have to unplug the headphones, got back into the control panel and re-enable the speakers for it to work.
I have this problem with windows media player, media player classic, quicktime, etc....
It used to never be like this. It only started happening after I re-installed vista a few months ago. Am I missing a driver from Lenovo's site for this functionality?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

In control panel, go into smart audio and look in the audio director part.
Had someone else complain of this and AFAIK it is the same problem. -
Thanks! I will check this out when I get home tonight....
