    It is compat. but if you are getting ready to order your laptop I would talk to the sales rep, I was able to get a 2gb DDR3 stick for 68ish dollars added to my order

    are there any 4GB single DIMM for the t400; i cant find any on newegg

    I've heard they're out there but they aren't readily available yet anyway and I'm sure they carry an excessive price premium for the moment as well.
