i have a t30 and love it...very rugged lower case. I recently used a t42 and was not that impressed. It seems IBM cheapend the bottom case by using thinner gauge materials than they did with the t30...i know they claim it is to be lighter...but lighter and flimsy is another story.

I guess my question is, at what point did IBM change the lower case? Does the T41 still have the old T30-style design?

    Hi Mark,
If you tried the T42 and did not like, you won't like the T41 either as they are almost exactly the same.
