t410 - smaller screen. smaller resolution. worst screen (check out reviews and saw the angle problems with constrast), smaller, cheaper, get it quicker
t510 - bigger screen, bigger resolution, better screen, bigger (less portable), about $100 more, a month+ delay
so what do i use my laptop for? EVERYTHING. graphic designing, i'm a pro DJ so it gets moved around a lot, watch movies, school, web programming, everything
so which one? such a difficult choice!!! i asked my brother who has a t400 (whose screen that i checked is even worse than a t410) and he said he watches movies on it and such and never notices a problemso i dunno!!!

If it will be your only screen, perhaps consider the 15" T510
If you might get an external monitor for use on a desk at home/work, T410.
Or even X201s.
I have had 2 15" thinkpads and this time went for the 14". I prefer it for portability, but I have always had a monitor I use to develop on.
T410 screen is better than the ones on my previous Thinkpads. -
You should probably consider this deal :

If you are using it for any graphics, I'd go for the T510 hands down (with at least the HD+ screen). The larger screen is a huge plus. I still find it a little small for dreamweaver and some photoshop files, but it works.

get the t410 and get a external monitor.

I struggled with the same question, in the end I got the T510 with HD+ which at the time was within 20 bucks of a similarly spec'd T410. Only difference was the screen is 160 pixels wider, with the chassis being the same amount wider.
After over 2 months, I wouldn't want to give up screen real estate. But I knew that would be my behavior before I even ordered.
Now I yearn for the FHD, but not for size, more for color and contrast. I think the 1600 by 900 is a great size. Perfectly readable at arm's length, using native resolution, with standard-sized fonts.
t410 or t510? which one? plan to buy today
