The T410s battery is the first that I've seen that sits under the palm rest. Neat-o.

    My question:
The space for the battery has something like foam lining the bottom, and when I have the battery in, it doesn't sit completely flush with the rest of the laptop. The side away from the edge of the laptop sticks out maybe half- to one millimeter. I believe it's the foam's fault because i can sort of push it into place, only to have it spring back out again. I didn't particularly care until I noticed it makes the four rubber feet uneven (one of them is on the battery), which in turn makes the laptop wobble a little bit.

Is there anybody who's noticed this as well?

Nope, my battery sits completely flush on my T410s.

Also Thinkpads have had a palm battery in the past. My old x31 had a palm rest mount battery on it.
