    Hi...

I recently bought a IBM t42. I noticed that when i cut & paste a large no of files from one folder to another, I get a blue screen & then XP just re-starts.
I sent the XP generated error report to the Microsoft site. Microsoft says that it is IBM's problem & I need to update IBM's rescue & recovery software.
I have not been able to download the latest rescue & recovery software, as it is 410MB, & I have a dial up connection at home.

What I would like to know is this:

Has anyone faced this problem before?
Does it go after installing the latest rescue & recovery software?

    Thanks
    vdb

I think I've heard of this problem being related to antivirus software.

Try disabling/uninstalling any antivirus software and see if that
    resolves the problem.
