does anyone know the default font settings on the T42 with the SXGA+ 1400x1050. When i switch to windows classic style, it changed all of the font sizes, so everything is smaller. I'm okay with how it is right now, but it would be nice to know. I tried changing the theme, but that didnt restore them.

You can restore you T42 to the way IBM shipped it to you if you want to.
While the machine is starting up, before the Windows logo appears, push the blue Access IBM button. It will start Rescue and Recovery, and there will be an option after you click continue to restore factory settings.
It takes about an hour to hour and a half to do the full restore.
    All data is blown away.
