I have smudges and wear all over the laptop, I tried one of those surface clean wipes. It looked at nice at first but then back to square to one after a day.

Anything special you guys use to make it look like new?

Goo gone for lid and bottom. As good as it gets IMO.

We just use a lint free cloth, damp with streak free window cleaner. It almost always does the trick on minor cosmetic things. It wont', however, remove oil stains on the case from excessive exposure (such as on the trackpad or keyboard).

That is an epic way to market it. :D

Same with me, once every few weeks I wipe my T61 down with a damn cloth. Looks almost like the day I got it 6+ years ago. Keyboard is a littly shinny, but other than that, looks like a new machine.

I've been using a clean, damp cloth, with a drop or two of a mild detergent (Palmolive) to clean my x200tablet. Just enough to collect dust and grease from fingerprints. Pretty satisfying after a good wipe down to see my x200tablet in relatively great shape and still running well :)
