I am in the final throws of decision making on the t420.

In the screen department the choice is 1366x768 or 1600x900.

My question is what is the difference in viewing angles between these two screen choices?

My current x120e viewing angles are driving me crazy.
I don't really care too much about resolution, but would pay more for just a clearer screen with better viewing angles.

    Thanks in advance!

If I could project from the T410 situation, I would say the 1600x900 is the better choice, quality-wise.

I would go with the 1600x900, with a higher resolution, things should be a little clearer anyways. But if you dont care about resolution and you want viewing angles, you can get the X220 with the IPS screen.

Yeah, I don't think I want to pay all the extra for the IPS.
I just want something better than the abyssmal viewing angles of the x120e.

I love the x120e, but the size of the screen coupled with the viewing angles makes actually seeing anything a real challenge. Specially with my old man eyes.

Brightness, contrast, color reproduction, and viewing angles have nothing to do with resolution (pixel density).
