After failing to find a suitable replacement laptop I might just upgrade my t420 battery. Should I get a 9 cell or a slice battery for it?
Should I even consider upgrading the battery? Worth it?

588 cycles and still kicking...not bad.

I'd get a 9-cell and call it a day. UltraBay and slice batteries for ThinkPads were always one inch from being a sheer hoax IMO.

    Happy shopping.

I've used the 6-cell plus the 9-cell slice for 3 years now, and I hate that the newer T-series no longer have an option for the latter. It provides not just extra battery life, but a better typing angle imho.
