As mentioned in a previous thread, i have recently purchased an ibm t42p. It has the 2g processor, 1gigg ram and the ati firegl 128 video card. I can play games like half-life 2 and counter-strike source in 800x600 with everything on the highest detail at around 60fps... it is amazing to see games like this perform so brilliantly on a notebook.... when i try and play quake2 (one of my old favourites) i can;t run it in resolutions much higher than 640x480 without it shuddering.,.... it is totally weird. quake2 will play on a pentium 120mhz - let alone a 2gigg processor with 1 gigg of ram and a 128meg video card... i am imaginging the card is not good with old 3d games or something???? has any1 got any suggestions????
