Both have the same price under EPP.
The only extras in z60t is widescreen and dvd writer (I know IBM DVD writer are not great but better to have it than CD rw)I read many review about the "could be a bad z60 series. And I also found many people still prefer t43. But still I got an inclination to the z60t, I dont know know why!! :(

I also found many people don't like z60t due to its high price , I was wondering if I am getting same and better specs for the same price, z60t would'nt be bad!!

Any suggestion would be very helpful.

Well, the Z60T is highly overpriced (moreso than the Z60M). I also don't know what the shipping situation is with the T; with the Z60M, most people are expecting at LEAST a month's wait - usually more. The T does not offer a dedicated graphics card, which is a generally a good thing to have.

The way to see if you're getting comparable or better features is to try configuring a T43 with similar features and see how it comes out. With EPP pricing, I do think the T43 is going to be cheaper, and it will most likely actually get to you sooner - also a good thing.

    Best,
    Howie

As far as what is still attracting you to it without you realizing it, I'm going to guess it's the titanium.

Personally with those options I would go for the z60t. (with the 3 year warranty of course). the Z60 doesn't have any of the harddrive upgrade issues like all of the current t43 and r series, and it is a true SATA drive. A bit faster, and is the new mainstream drive.

    Thanks for the suggestions.
I configured t43 to buy, but on the the same day they slashed the price of z60t to the same level as t43 ~$1500 under EPP, then I thought it may be a better deal. For shipping time, currently even for t43 they are saying within 2weeks as for z60t. I guess due to holiday pressure that may be the case for most of the thinkpads, if not in stock.

T43 unless you need widescreen and/or Windows key. It's better built.

In my opinion, I suggest you consider T43, especially with flexview 15.1' screen.
In addition, the z60t you mentioned is not very strong in GPU.

Flexview rocks, but some may appreciate the extra inch of mobility on the 14" models...
